ABSTRACT

Control of malaria, which is one of the best-known diseases in the human history, has begun to be effective in parallel to man’s struggle to dominate nature. Occurring in the areas where agriculture is carried out, malaria has affected social life in the geography of Anatolia in terms of its results and attempts have been made to control it. Wishing to create a healthy generation free of disease, Turkish Republic has tried new methods with public’s direct contribution since 1924. This struggle was successful due to with the public’s submission to the changes in agricultural activities and life style. In contrast it was unsuccessful whenever the precautions were disregarded and because of this it was found that the outbreak of malaria reoccurred.
