ABSTRACT
This morphological and histopathological study was undertaken to determine liver damage caused by Dicrocoelium dendriticum in severely infected sheep. The liver was sclerotic and many bile ducts that were yellowish-white in color were found on visceral and parietal surfaces. The bile ducts were quite thickened and obvious in the sectioned surface of the liver. Diffuse cholangiohepatitis was seen in the liver during the microscopic examination. As a result, it was determined that severe D. dendriticum infection can be a cause of early cirrhotic change.
